Golden Deeps Sets Early-2026 Drilling at Graceland After IP Survey

Golden Deeps plans to start first-phase drilling at its Graceland Critical Metals Prospect in Namibia’s Otavi Mountain Land in early 2026, following target definition from an Induced Polarisation–Resistivity survey. Terratec is scheduled to run the program within two weeks, testing to about 300 meters across a 2 km by 1 km mineralised corridor where trenching and channel sampling have exposed multiple copper zones.

Survey results are expected by late fourth quarter 2025. Golden Deeps said inversion modelling will be integrated with geochemical datasets and 3D topography to generate three-dimensional drill targets aimed at “Tsumeb-style” Cu-Ag-Zn-Pb-Ge sulphide systems. The nearby Tsumeb deposit produced 27 Mt grading 4.3% Cu, 10% Pb, 3.5% Zn, 95 g/t Ag and 50 g/t Ge over its mine life.

Recent fieldwork reported copper mineralisation over widths of 3–6 meters, including malachite, chalcocite and minor native copper, from channels at Gossan 1 East and the newly mapped Gossan 1 West Extension. Earlier work returned peak assays up to 47.3% Cu with 7,792 g/t Ag and 224 g/t Ge (Gossan 1 East), 38.3% Cu, 1,130 g/t Ag and 25.9% Zn (Gossan 1), and 32.4% Zn, 34.2% Pb, 2,473 g/t Ag and 97 g/t Ge (Gossan 2). Samples were prepared at Intertek’s Namibian facility and pulped for multi-element analysis in Perth.

Golden Deeps established its Namibian position in 2017 via the acquisition of Huab Energy (Pty) Ltd. and Metalex Mining & Exploration (Pty) Ltd., securing six Exclusive Prospecting Licences over roughly 440 km², including known deposits and historical mines such as Abenab and Nosib. The broader Central Otavi portfolio also includes the Border Zn-Pb-Ag resource and the Driehoek, Kaskara and Khusib Springs prospects.

Chief executive Jon Dugdale said channel sampling has been completed across four zones and will inform assessments of width and strike continuity ahead of drilling. He added that, should copper, silver and lead be added to the U.S. Critical Minerals list, all principal metals at Graceland—copper, silver, zinc, lead and germanium, with anomalous antimony—would be classified as critical.
